Milton may have lost paradise in the 17th century, but let me tell you all I have just found it! I have just come back from the most amazing trip to Ayada Maldives – truly heaven on earth. Ayada are amazing, my trip started with them meeting me at Velana international airport, where they had arranged my transfer to the resort. A short flight followed by a wonderful boat trip to the resort, skimming across perfect blue seas is really such a wonderful way to kick off a holiday. Once we got to the resort, all the staff were there to welcome me , and I was introduced to my personal butler, who took me in a golf buggy to my room, an ocean villa with the most amazing private infinity pool. The villa was amazing, large spacious and very bright, beautiful décor a mix of Asian and Turkish design, a bath with a glass wall looking out over the ocean. Having a bath filled with petals with that kind of view is a wonderful experience.
Much as it was tempting to just luxuriate in paradise, there are so many things to do here, water sports including windsurfing, snorkelling, jet ski rides, bike rides in the jungle, fishing, glass bottem boat trip (in case you missed anything snorkelling 😊). I think my favourite was a trip to see the dolphins. They are so beautiful and playful, I could have watched them play for hours, a memory I will always carry with me.
The food at Ayada Maldives is unforgettable, they have 8 wonderful restaurants, each one an absolute delight for the senses, taste, smells, apperances, all perfect. I loved the floating breakfast in my pool, wonderful fresh ingredients all grown organically in the resorts own gardens – wonderful!!!
They have probably the best spa centre in the Maldives, and I had spent many hours being pampered and massaged in idyllic surroundings.
Ayada is also the perfect place for a wedding, they offer a wedding planner to help make all tha arrangements for that special day. I would love to have my wedding here when the time comes.
The staff at Ayada are truly amazing, they are helpful, polite and discrete, always there when you need them, invisible when you don’t, lovely, perfect service.
I was so sad to have to leave, I could happily spend the rest of my days there. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is the perfect get away from all the stress of modern living, especially true in these COVID impacted times we re living in at the moment, do go and visit them, you won’t regret it in any way.
