I have discovered a wonderful new Hotel in Paris, Le Chaplain Rive Gauche. I was there last week for my trip to Paris and will definitely be going back. It is a small boutique hotel, situated very near the Jardins du Luxembourg which is very very central, you can walk to Notre Dame (which is regarded as the absolute centre of Paris) in less than 30 min and there is a Metro station less than 100 meters away if you don’t like the idea of walking. In the area are lots of great restaurants and you are definitely spoiled for choice on the food front.
The staff are super friendly and really welcomed me. The reception and common areas are nicely decorated and very homely. The rooms are a good size for Paris (don’t know why Paris Hotel rooms always seem small) and really nicely furnished. My room had a balcony and with a view of Montparnasse. The hotel offers a good WiFi service, which is so important these days, and the minibar is stocked with soft drinks all of which are free, which I think is a great idea, I don’t think I have ever taken alcohol from a minibar and would only want soft drinks, so having them free is very useful. The breakfast was nice, plenty of choice and good quality, I adore croissants and they were wonderful here.
All in all this is a great find, and I was very happy here, it ticks all the boxes for me, Beautiful central location, easy Metro access, great staff, comfortable rooms which are nicely decorated, and very reasonable prices. If you are looking to visit Paris, I can happily recommend this hotel.
