I have just returned from a lovely trip to the Kouros Hotel in Mykonos. The Hotel is beautiful, set into the rocks, its cool refreshing white buildings are as beautiful inside as they are outside. The rooms are beautifully designed, their minimalist décor, contrasting with the absolutely breathtaking views out over the sea, and every night you can sit on your balcony and watch the sun set into the sea directly in front of you. If you were to picture the perfect Greek island resort, it would look a lot like this. The rooms are large and airy, and all of them have spectacular views. The suites are extremely luxurious and mine had a Whirlpool Jacuzzi on the veranda, sitting in a Jacuzzi with a glass of wine, with the views the hotel has is pure bliss, and the ultimate in luxury
The food at the Narcissus Restaurant is absolutely delicious, the setting, by the poolside is calm and offers the same spectacular views as the hotel, what better way to finish your day than sitting watching the sun set into the Cyclades sipping one of their fine selection of wines, and eating a delicious meal. The food is, as you would expect, a proper Greek feast prepared using local ingredients, brought together in a sumptuous meal. The service is great, friendly quick, and they have achieved that very difficult balance between being quick and efficient, but not making you feel rushed, and allowing you to savour both the food and the surroundings.
Breakfast, which as you would expect had all the local delicacies, greek pastries yumm and international food was a delight
The Hotel is friendly, efficient and the staff are all very nice, nothing is too much trouble for them, from the checkin to helping you plan your trips to visit the beautiful town of Mykonos, which is a gentle stroll of a few minutes away, or the port which is only a 10 minute walk. Using the hotel as a base you can not only visit the town, but also the surrounding countryside which is beautiful, and with the town being such a short walk away, if you do not want to tempt yourself with the fine dining, you can always sample the nightlife of Mykonos.
The Zoe Spa is a great way to completely pamper yourself and offer a great range of massages, treatments and hamam rituals.
