Whilst I was in the Greek Islands I also decided to have a taste of the Mykonian Riviera. I chose the Mykonos Blanc Hotel for this part of my trip. As the name suggests everything about this hotel is white, which when contrasted with the vibrant colours of the Aegean actually provides a very soothing backdrop. This is a vibrant happening place, set on the sea front, with its own private beach, and pool area. The rooms, naturally all white, are almost cave like inside, but being all white still feel spacious and airy.
The accent here is on beachfront living, and the rooms all have sea views. Having its own beach means that you never feel crowded and hassled, and its nice to sit looking out at the Ornos bay just watching the world go by. Contrasting this with superb nightlife just a few steps away with great clubs and restaurants means this is a perfect place to have a lot of fun, knowing that you can chill out on the beach in the morning if the night was a little too…. Exciting.
The service in the hotel was very friendly and super discrete, which is nice, everything you need is right there, but you never felt that people were hovering around, which makes for a very relaxing stay.
Breakfast was a mix of local delicacies – I adore Greek yogurt with Honey, Greek traditional pastries – and international fare, served either by the pool or on the terrace.
If you are looking for a young, vibrant place to stay, full of fashionistas and the bohemian crowd, this is the place for you, it gives all that from a superb luxurious setting.
